Weighing only 12.3 ounces, this lightweight, rugged model has been carefully engineered for clarity, performance and reliability. Constructed from new durable aerospace material, this headset offers a breakthrough in comfort and noise attenuation. For example, the new adjustable Six pillow, soft foam head pad is designed to conform to head contours and eliminate "hot spots" on extra long flights. The Extra Soft Foam ear seals are made to surround the ears with quiet comfort. This blocks noise interference and provides the optimum comfort in a "no-squeeze" fit for hours of use. With a Noise Reduction Rating of -23 dB, Quiet is what you will hear. An improved solid state Electret M-55 Condenser Microphone offers the finest in audio clarity and noise-canceling properties. The six-way adjustable "friction boom" allows for precision placement of the microphone and can be positioned on either side of the mouth. The long, heavy duty cable assembly can withstand strains up to 95 pounds and retain its flexibility from -40° to +120°F. Attached to the cables are gold plated connector plugs that are designed to eliminate connector static.
